From Lottie with Love

Matt informed me the other day about a little bit of “hidden” history here at Southern Seminary. Apparently part of the  stone fireplace in our little cafe is from the village Lottie Moon worked in while in China as a missionary. Well, I was naturally curious since I had been in that cafe countless times but never saw the stones he was talking about. So below is my proof. Ms. Lottie sent a lot of artifacts to our seminary from China. Some of them are on display while others are locked up for safe keeping, including a red Buddha statue. Legend says that she was once engaged to Professor Toy from Southern but broke it off when she found he did not believe in the inerrancy of the Bible among other reasons. When that happened, she went to China and began her work.
